After establishing a number of ventures early in his business career, Gary identified that whilst each organisation had their own brand, product or audience, there was a consistency in the vision, approach and aspiration of the teams within them.
“Relentless” is my favourite word and sums up my approach to life, business, everything really”. With this in mind, Gary launched ‘Relentless’ in 2015 as his investment business, of which the vision and values, he advises, “are embedded within the fabric of everything that we do”.
Relentless
Relentless is Gary’s investment business, from which stems the vision, values and culture of all of his activities. The inception point for his new ventures, Relentless is built on inspiration and innovation, supporting businesses from launch, through to scale.
Relentless Developments
Gary has been a property developer since he was 21 years of age and remains as passionate about creating new personal and professional environments as he was then. Relentless Developments is home to Gary’s latest developments, including the £200m St Michael’s development in Manchester.
UA92
Gary wanted to disrupt the traditional education system by creating programmes of study that focused as much on character development and resilience as they did on Academia. Together with the Class of 92, UA92 was launched in 2019 and has recently seen its first set of students graduate.
Salford City fc
Acquired as a Non-League Football Club by the Class of 92 in 2014, Salford City FC is now a League Two Club and the subject of one of the most popular documentaries on SKY TV, in which the Class of 92 are followed in their attempts to take the Club to the Premier League.GG Hospitality
Having travelled the world as a footballer, Gary had seen some of the best hospitality that the world had to offer. As passionate about his home city of Manchester, as he is Food & Drink, Gary decided that he wanted to create world-class concepts, reflective of those he had seen around the world in the City he loves. Thus GG Hospitality was born.
Hotel Football
Overlooking Old Trafford, one of the most famous stadiums in the world, GG Hospitality opened Hotel Football on Sir Matt Busby Way in 2015, one of the only a few hotels in the world with a five-a-side pitch on the roof.Stock Exchange
Manchester’s Stock Exchange first opened its doors in 1906, before making its final trade in 1979. Opening in 2019, this unique building at the heart of the City, has now been meticulously restored as a 40-room five-star boutique hotel, encompassing signature suites, a penthouse apartment and event spaces.
Buzz 16
Gary co-founded this production company in 2017 and with successful programmes such as The Overlap, Soccerbox, Class of 92 Full Time and The Lawman, in addition to being the production partner for the British Basketball League, Buzz 16 has gone from strength to strength.BEYOND FOOTBALL

More than a decade since he hung up his boots, Gary’s relentless approach to life and work, the reason behind the naming of his investment business, Relentless, has seen him carve out success in several different areas.
This desire to “win again” has been the driving factor in his seamless transition to a leading broadcaster for Sky Sports, the creation of his own production company, University, hospitality business and one of the largest property developments in Manchester City Centre. “I didn’t want to only be known as a former Man United player and I didn't want to think that my days of success, achieving things, were over".
